Summary
: Apparently this album is about climate change, but that's not important. I gave this a listen back in February and I know it had great reviews, but I still think it's boring. I imagine it's what my friends feel when I try to introduce them to The National. "Ignorance" has a nice smokey, marshmallowy, outdoorsey feel to it, and I do like the textures of the instruments. I would probably be hyped if Netflix uses one of their songs as a exit montage. But for personal listening, I mostly like the middle sections of the album, and the rest just feels textbook father john misty music.
