Who Gon Beat My Ass?
Review: I don't know what compelled me to give this a listen, i generally don't like hardcore punk, but i noticed there were from Philadelphia, which meant nothing to me. But wow, the first 6 songs on this album are non stop noisy fun screamo. the first song had that "whogonbeatmyass" made me laugh. I can't really tell you what this album is about, but it made me feel like i was beating people up with joy. at times, the album does sound like any other hardcore punk, but those never grabbed me like this album did. They have really cool riffs and the vocals arent like those pig squeal, they just sound like a man talking really fast. unfortunately, i did think the album got stale right after track 6. I think the latter half is fine, but that freshness wore itself off. Big shout out to McKinley Dixon for being on track 12.
Summary: This is very energizing, but can get tiresome as you go further down the record.
