Kep1er - First Impact

Release Date: January 3rd, 2022

technically this was the first album I listened to this year. I watched girls planet 999 and I held back on having favorites, I mean, that final iz*one concert is still traumatic for me. and after watching the final rankings, I can't believe Guinn Myah wasn't in the top 9.

review: anyways, of the 6 tracks here, the 2 songs from the show are still good. It kind of feels like a spiritual successor to izone, but i could be reaching. Then the theme song is whatever. The opening track is nice. But the two real tracks, Wa Da Da and MVSK, is well, oh no. maybe I have a built-in wall that makes me want to hate this group so i don't have to keep up with them, or maybe, just maybe, these songs are shit. Wa Da Da reminds me of the kpop where anything goes, and it mixes shitting singing, with catchy, in your face melodies. For a debut, i get it, it needs to be a statement, but maybe I'm a hater, but it just annoyed me because my brain is like, you can't be this loud yet.  iono. I think in the future, i would be more fond of MVSK depending on where the group goes next, because there are elements of that song i like, but I'm also like, it's another song where the tempo stops and it's suppose to be cool, but i heard it before and i don't know how to feel.

Summary: Maybe I have a built-in wall that makes me hate this group because I find their songs to be annoying, except for Shine.

Favorite Song: Shine
Rating: 5/10
